    Guest Experience

What a guest actually sees and does, from opening the link to downloading their finished design.

    The end-to-end flow

    1. 1

      Landing page

Guest opens the event URL and sees your branded image and call-to-action button.

    2. 2

Child event or template selection (if configured)

If the event has child events or multiple templates, the guest picks one before continuing.

    3. 3

      Survey (optional)

A short questionnaire runs before or after editing, depending on how it’s configured.

    4. 4

      Editor

The guest personalizes the design β€” adding a photo, text, stickers, or an AI-generated image.

    5. 5

      Submission

The design is submitted and becomes an order; the guest sees your end page.

    6. 6

      Waiting for the finished item

The guest waits while the design prints or is produced, then collects it on the spot, comes back later with their receipt, or has it shipped β€” see below.

    7. 7

      Gallery (optional)

If enabled, guests can browse and download completed photos from the event gallery.

Waiting for, and collecting, the finished item

What happens between submission and leaving with the finished item depends on how the event is set up β€” it can be instant, a short wait, or a shipment:

    Printed while they watch

For a fast item β€” a receipt, label, or anything produced by a machine on your print server β€” the guest can watch it come out and take it immediately.

    Claim ticket & pickup

If production takes longer, the guest keeps their printed receipt (with a QR code) as a claim ticket and comes back once staff mark the order ready.

    Live status on a screen

An Order Status Display can show every order moving from Pending to Ready, so guests know when to return without asking staff.

    Shipped to their address

If the event collects a shipping address, the guest can leave empty-handed β€” they get an email with tracking info the moment you mark the order Shipped.

    Surveys guests may see

Surveys can ask for anything from short text to a live selfie capture. Photo and upload questions support automatic AI transformation, and can optionally be completed from a second device (see below).

Uploading from a phone via QR code

If a guest is designing on a tablet/kiosk without a camera, the editor's Photo tool (and matching survey questions) can show a QR code instead of a file picker. Scanning it opens a short-lived (5 minute) upload page on the guest's own phone.

    Scan to upload

Open the camera app and scan the code shown on screen.

    Supported files

JPEG, PNG, or HEIC up to 10MB β€” HEIC is converted automatically.

    Auto-compression

Large photos are resized (max 3072px) before upload for a faster transfer.

    Auto pickup

The original device polls and picks the photo up automatically β€” no action needed there.

    Design tip

Keep the landing page's call-to-action copy specific ("Design Your Tote Bag" rather than "Start") β€” it measurably improves how many visitors continue into the flow.
