Events Management

    Using Event Templates

Give guests more than one design to choose from by adding templates to any parent or child event.

Add one or more templates to any parent or child event so guests can choose between different canvas designs, and learn how to manage, enable, and style them.

    What is an event template?

Every event, whether a parent or a child event, can have one or more event templates. A template is a separate canvas design that guests can pick from — for example a "Birthday" layout, a "Wedding" layout, and a "Corporate" layout inside the same event. Each template has its own design, preview image, and an optional linked survey.

    What guests see

How templates appear to guests depends on how many are enabled:

    1. 1

      One enabled template

Guests go straight into the editor with that template loaded. There is no selection screen.

    2. 2

      Several enabled templates

Guests see a Template Selection page with a card for each template, showing its name and preview image, and pick the one they want to design.

    3. 3

      Skipping the selection

If Skip Template Selection is turned on, guests can bypass the page and the template marked as Default is used instead.

    4. 4

      Linked survey

If the chosen template has a linked survey, guests answer it before the editor opens.

Guests only see the Template Selection page when more than one template is enabled for the event.

    Adding and managing templates

    1. 1

      Open the Events page

Find the parent or child event you want to add templates to.

    2. 2

      Click Manage Templates

This opens the Manage Templates dialog for that event, listing every template it has.

    3. 3

      Create a template

Click Create Template to add a new template to the list, and give it a name.

    4. 4

      Edit the design

Click Edit Design on the template row to open the design editor and build the canvas for that template.

    5. 5

      Enable it

Switch the template on in the Enabled column so guests can see it.

    Template options

Each row in the Manage Templates dialog gives you these controls:

    Enabled

Only enabled templates are shown to guests. Turn one off to hide it without deleting it.

    Default

The template used when guests skip template selection. Enable a template before you set it as the default.

    Template name

The name shown on the template card in the guest selection page.

    Preview image

Upload or change the image that represents the template on its card.

    Linked survey

Link a survey so guests answer it after choosing this template. With a dynamic survey (a plan upgrade feature), the answers can fill the template's text fields — see Surveys.

    Order and deleting

Reorder templates to change the order of the cards. Deleting a template is permanent, and a template that is currently assigned to the event must be unassigned first.

    Templates and child events

Templates are alternative designs inside one event. Child events are separate linked configurations, each with its own canvas, toolbar, export, and AI settings. Both parent and child events can have their own templates. Use Child Events when guests need different settings, and templates when they only need different designs.

    Styling the selection page

The Template Selection page is styled once, and the settings apply to every template in the event: title, background, card style, and Continue button. See Template Selection page in Branding & Colors.
