Manage Survey Responses
Review, search, export, and delete the answers guests submit to your surveys.
Manage survey responses: view every answer, filter by event or survey, search, export to CSV, and delete responses from the admin area.
Where responses go
Every time a guest finishes a survey, a response is saved to your account. Manage Responses in the admin menu lists all of them in one place, newest first, so you can review answers during an event or export them afterwards. Responses are grouped by the event and survey they came from.
- 1
Open Manage Responses
In the admin area, choose Manage Responses from the menu.
- 2
Narrow the list
Pick an event and a survey, or search for a word in the answers.
- 3
Open a response
Click a row or View to see every answer from that guest.
- 4
Export or clean up
Download the list as a CSV file or delete responses you no longer need.
The responses table
Each row is one submitted survey, shown 10 per page with page controls underneath. Use the refresh button to load responses that arrived while the page was open. The columns are:
Name, Email, and Order Number
Filled in once the guest submits their design and the order is sent to print, when the response is updated with their details. Until then, or when a survey is used without an order, these show a dash.
Survey and Event
The survey the answers belong to and the event the guest was in.
Opt-in Updates
A Yes or No badge showing whether the guest agreed to receive updates, so you know who you may contact.
Submitted At
The date and time of the response. The list is sorted with the latest first.
Actions
View opens the full response, and the bin icon deletes it.
Filtering and searching
Three controls at the top of the page help you find responses quickly:
Event filter
Show only the responses from one event. The list contains your parent events.
Survey filter
Show only the responses to one survey, useful when an event uses a different survey per child event or template.
Search
Type a word to match the event name, the survey title, or any text inside the answers. Search looks through the 500 most recent responses that match the current filters.
The event and survey filters can also be passed in the page address, so a link from another page can open Manage Responses already filtered.
Viewing a single response
Click anywhere on a row, or View, to open the Survey Response Details dialog.
Guest details
Name, email, order number, opt-in status, survey, event, and the exact submission time.
Every answer
Each question title is listed with the guest's answer. Questions left blank show "No answer".
Photos
Photo answers appear as thumbnails with a View full size link. Photos taken offline are labeled Offline, pending sync until the kiosk reconnects. See Syncing & Offline Use.
Other answer types
Multiple selections are joined with commas, and any other uploaded file is shown as a View uploaded file link.
Exporting to CSV
Choose Export to CSV to download a spreadsheet you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or your CRM.
What is exported
Name, email, order number, survey, event, opt-in, submitted time, and a column with every question and answer.
Follows your filters
The export respects the current event, survey, and search. All matching pages are included, not only the one you are looking at.
Export only some rows
Tick the checkboxes of specific responses first and only those are exported.
Photos in the export
Photo answers are exported as a link to the image file, so you can open or download the pictures from the spreadsheet.
Need answers delivered the moment they come in instead? Set a survey webhook. See Webhooks for your own integrations.
Deleting responses
Delete a single response with the bin icon on its row, or tick several checkboxes (or the select-all box in the header, which selects the current page) and choose Delete Selected. Both ask you to confirm first.
Deleted responses cannot be recovered. Export a CSV first if you may need the data later, for example for privacy requests or reporting.
Putting responses to work
Responses are most useful when combined with the rest of the platform:
Follow up with guests
Filter the export by opt-in to build a mailing list of guests who agreed to hear from you.
Fulfill orders
Read sizes, colors, and options off a response while you prepare an order. See Orders & Printing.
Spot trends
Use Rating, Single Choice, and Yes/No questions to compare feedback between events. Survey counts also appear in Event Analytics.
Automate
Send each response to your own systems as it is submitted with a survey webhook, then sync it to a CRM or spreadsheet.
